| Following several aircraft accidents, the influences on fuel tank safety have widely been discussed to establish means by which fuel tank explosions can be prevented in the future. As a result aircraft maintenance personnel have to undergo a Fuel Tank Safety Training as required by EASA but also other authorities and regulations.
infoWERK has developed such a web-based training solution in cooperation with Aerobildung GmbH in Oberpfaffenhofen and Link&Learn GmbH and will be released by end of November in order to meet the needs of people dealing with Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) in their every-day work.
The training will be offered as a Familiarization (Level 1) or Detailed Training (Level 2). In the Familiarization Training the attendants learn typical terms, the basic elements of the fuel tank safety issues or how to be abel to give a simple description of the historical background and the elements requiring a safety consideration. The Detailed Training goes much deeper into the subject matter.
