Link & Learn Aviation Training Proves: 'Blended Learning' Really Works

Link & Learn Aviation Training GmbH, a subsidiary of infoWERK, demonstrates the success of the “Blended” learning system in EASA Part 66 Basic Training.

Since the first B1 course in 2003, aviation companies and individuals alike have come to appreciate the efficiency, flexibility and cost savings of the concept. 2004 the Board of Education for Tyrol of the Ministry of Education awarded Link & Learn the status of a recognized private school. Earlier this year, Link & Learn was selected as web-based training provider for the newly re-established apprenticeship program “Aircraft Technician” by the Board of Education for Lower-Austria.

Finally, June 2nd 2005, SAMA (SVFB), the Swiss Aircraft Maintenance Association chose the Link & Learn courseware for the introduction of their new nationwide EASA Part 66 training program.

“Learn when you want, where you want” is the slogan of Link & Learn. The courseware can be accessed any time, from any pc with an internet connection and is supplemented by a set of handbooks. A teletrainer is available “on-line”. Short seminars at our Part 147 approved partners Austrian Airlines and AvCraft Aerospace provide the benefits of the traditional classroom environment before the module examinations. The modular system allows a start at any time for a full course or individual modules. Modules missed due to workload or private circumstances can be completed at the end of the training.

“Learn when you want, where you want” even more so applies for our Human Factors Training for Part 145 organizations. This one-day training, as per the Part 145 syllabus, is entirely web-based and allows each employee to train individually. A LMS (Learning Management System) records the student activities and generates a detailed report which serves as proof of compliance.

HF training is mandatory for all Part 145 organizations before September 28th 2006.
