infoWERK develops Human Factors Training Program for Lufthansa TT
Experts generally agree that 80% of aviation incidents and accidents are results of human errors.
Human Factors training, universally required for aviation maintenance personnel,
is designed to reduce these errors.

infoWERK, in partnership with Lufthansa Technical Training, has developed a new “blended” Human Factors course, with 50% of the contents imparted by web-based training. The learner first uses the WBT
to learn, or review, the HF concepts prescribed by the Joint Aviation Authorities.
Upon successful completion of the test the student qualifies to attend the one-day workshop.

Dr. Bill Johnson, Regional Director of Technical Training for Lufthansa, is director of the project.
According to Dr. Johnson, “Blended training is a combination of instructional approaches designed
to achieve high value, efficient, and effective technical training
”.
The web-based portion of the training also allows mobile self-paced learning, scheduling flexibility
and cost-saving opportunities.

The software developed by infoWERK is designed with a consistent and modern graphical appearance with
high visual impact and meets all JAR-66 requirements and JAR 145 guidelines for Human Factors Continuation Training.

I was very fortunate in having selected the right team of developers at infoWERK”, says Dr. Johnson.

The HF training program is complete and fully operational. An English-language demonstration of the Human Factors WBT, as well as a list of FAQs is available at: www.ltthf.com
